BRITISH ART SHOW 6
The 7 galleries involved in British Art Show 6 in Manchester contracted Fort Resources to act as their region-wide Education Co-ordinator.
The project involved creating, managing and marketing workshops, talks, professional development days, and printed resources for the joint city-wide programme over 7 galleries: Castlefield Gallery, Cornerhouse, Chinese Arts Centre, The International 3, Manchester Art Gallery, Urbis, The Whitworth Art Gallery.
As well as requiring excellent logistical skills, the project also required extraordinary attention to detail; liaison with high profile national and international artists; brokering strategic development across several partners; advocating the project to high level community and educational professionals across the North West and beyond; and developing monitoring and evaluation activity. The Education & Events Programme was funded by Arts Council England and Aimhigher.
